MALDIVES TRAVEL DIARY PART I w/ LILY BEACH RESORT & SPA – I am so excited to finally show you the first part of my amazing trip to the Maldives. I always dreamed about visiting these beautiful islands and I am so happy that I had the chance to finally do it.

The whole trip was planned by the luxury travel agency STOP OVER REISEN. They organized everything starting from my departure at home, arrival at Male International airport, to the sea plane and finally the arrival at the resort. The sea plane took about 35 minutes to resort.

I loved the flight as you see all the beautiful small islands from above. We arrived quite late in the afternoon at Lily Beach and had some time to discover the island until we had our first dinner at the Lily Maa restaurant. They offer a huge buffet themed every night different. We had the chance to taste ITALY and ASIA and it was very delicious. For example at the italian night they made some fresh noodles, caesar salad and tiramisu. At the asian night I loved the wide-ranged offer of fresh fruits and vegetables and especially fresh fish and seafood. The hotel offers PLATINUM PLAN – an all-inclusive plan in all restaurants, bars and cafés but in addition you have the chance to discover the island in two excursions (per week) and sports activities. This is a very good offer as you also have some delicious high-quality products like premium wines and spirits. Once a week you have an a la carte dinner at Tamarind, where you have a 3-course-menu (go for the duck appetizer and the entrecôte as main!). If you´re staying more than a week you can choose to have asian teppanyaki or fine-dining at Les Turquoise D´Aqua. As a coffee-junk I always had my cappuccino at the Aqva Bar with the beautiful view of the infinity pool, another daily threat was a fresh mocktail at the Vibes Bar #soyummi!

The island is very small and I loved the fact, that you can discover everything by a walk down the beach. Talking about the beach: this is so beautiful! I was shocked when I saw this beauty. It´s like you´re living in a tumblr-feed. Everyone knows these beautiful pictures and postcards – and it´s such a good feeling when you realize that you´re in it!

The resort offers different kinds of Villas, we had the chance to visit the Beach Villas and the Deluxe Water Villa. I cannot say what I loved more, the private terrace and way to the beach or the sound of the ocean? I was told, that guests who stay for 10 days or two weeks often change the villas in between to discover each. I would definitely suggest that!

Every night at nine, the have a fish feeding! This was definitely a very special experience to me as there came big stingrays and sharks to the reef. I was so fascinated to see these fishes near around me and visited it every night! (sorry if you followed me on Snapchat!)
