This is the second part of my trip to the Maldives and while watching the video I am dreaming myself back to this magical place. The whole stay was a dream and I cannot think of anything better. STOP OVER REISEN organized the whole trip between the resorts.

First we had to take the seaplane back to MALE airport and start again with the seaplane to Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa. The flight starting from MALE was about 45 minutes. You could also fly with the domestic airline to the airport near to the resort and take a 25minutes ride by speedboat.

We stayed in an overwater deluxe villa with a big terrace, private pool and direct sea entrance. There you have a beautiful view of the sunset and the whole resort. I loved the fact, that you have a lot of privacy and don´t see any other guests during the day. The island is very big and there are a lot of places to hide or relax at lounges or hammocks. In contrast to the Lily Beach Resort, our Water Villa offered way more space than there. We had the chance to visit other types of villas and every one offers a lot of space and privacy. The whole hotel just re-opened last winter, therefore all villas are quite new. It´s so special that they just build 104 villas, as other resorts would buy one next to each other – and take all the privacy!

As I told you before, the best thing in the Maldives is the beach. Hideaway offers a very special thing: the coral reef is only a few meters from the shores and you can learn how to snorkel in a very short time. It´s so beautiful to see and swim between all the fishes as they are direct next to you. This is the one side of the island, the other side offers a miles long white beach where you can take a long walk into the sea. For all the sporty-spices boyfriends – there is a huge offer of sport-activities as well!

The whole resort is very wide-spreaded and huge. Therefore you have a lot of different restaurants. Matheefaru is the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner (half- or full-board). Meeru Bar & Grill is the best place for lunch, they offer a very delicious Wagyu Burger or pizza from an italian stone-oven. As you can see there is a big tank with seafood and local fish – of course very delicious, too! We had a special dinner at the Samsara Restaurant. The resort offers asian or indian teppanyaki, we tried the indian version (about 10 courses) and it was beyond everything! You have to try it! The Blue Heron just opened the in November and is the first beach club in the Maldives. The resort will invite all famous dj´s from Ibiza to play in the Main Season. I am a huge fan of wine (especially red wine) and I was more than happy to meet the Chef Sommelier Muaz. We had a wine tasting in the pool at the sunset and tasted different rose wines from all over the world. Every night he offered the perfect matching wine to our dinner.

The whole service in all restaurants is unique. Everyone is so kind and accommodating. They welcome you every time and try to remember your daily preferences. For example when we arrived at breakfast, there was no need to ask for coffee or juice as they directly brought it to the table. After all the time, it felt like seeing your friends every day!

One afternoon I had a Spa Appointment – a 60minutes balinese massage. The whole Spa spotlights a very quit and relaxed atmosphere. If you have an appointment, all treatments are in a private villa. They offer everything your heart desires and you never want to leave this place. The massage was so relaxing that I wished to sleep there forever.
