Dr. Hauschka „Purple Light“ Limited Edition makeup

I had the great opportunity to meet international makeup artist Karim Sattar and talk to him about the new collection, upcoming beauty trends and skincare in general. Dr. Hauschka – organic and natural skincare

„From nature for the people“. Dr. Hauschka has conquered the European market with organically and naturally certified cosmetics. The brand belongs to the traditional German company WALA Heilmittel GmbH and focusses on ecologically conscious methods of growing ingredients. Dr. Hauschka skin care line includes face care, body care and make-up, all tailored to different skin conditions. Each product contains carefully selected medicinal plants that help the skin nourish and renew itself.

Limited Edition „Purple Light“

Twice a year, Dr. Hauschka wants to surprise its customers with special colors, textures or completely new products and set new impulses. „Purple Light“ is the new collection for spring and summer 2018. The collection consists of different kind of violet colors, delicate rose and strong purple. It is a very trend-conscious and expressive collection with four different products. 

Eyeshadow palette

• four different shades perfectly reflect the theme „Purple Light“
• two matte and two shimmering shades for a great variety 
• with mineral pigments and medicinal plant extracts
• the plant extracts maintain the delicate skin of the eye area

Eye definer

• the eye definer comes in an elegant gray-purple

Teint powder

Makeup meets Art

When makeup meets art, fascinating things can arise. The aesthetic claim of make-up meets the versatility of art. For the new limited edition, Dr. Hauschka has chosen to work with Swedish artist Emma Lindström. She has developed the design of the packaging for the „Purple Light“ collection. She was inspired by the different textures and colors of the collection and has created her own artwork. Cutouts from this artwork now adorn the packaging of the different „Purple Light“ products.

I really like the idea of combining make-up and art. The limited collection is a very strong and expressive collection, yet can easily be used for a natural and daily look. Karim Sattar has developed a soft an natural look, that you can see in my video.
