Fendi – spring dressing

The Fendi show in Milan is always my favorite and personal highlight during fashion month and I am beyond proud to be working with Fendi for such a long time now. Although I attended the Autumn-Winter 2020/21 show and got a glimpse of the beautiful upcoming trends, today’s blogpost will mainly focus on the current Resort 2020 collection. Get ready for my head-to-toe Fendi outfits starring two new – but well known – bag models.

Fendi Resort 2020 collection

The Fendi Resort 2020 collection is the label’s first season designed without the late Karl Lagerfeld direction. You can obviously feel the huge loss, however Silvia Venturini Fendi managed to successfully fill in the big traces of her predecessor. She has worked alongside Karl Lagerfeld for many years and designed a collection that’s not only reminiscent of the typical Karl Lagerfeld designs, but also has its own and innovative way.

Her new collection is inspired by the 80s crime thriller „Gloria“ that tells the story of a gangster’s girlfriend who helps a kid escape from the mafia. The whole collection is very sophisticated and strong, yet also shows very delicate and feminine elements.

Sharp blazers and trenchcoats meet feminine high slit dresses and skirts. Modern cuts and shapes go hand in hand with the traditional trademarks of the legendary fashion house. I love the way Fendi has developed over the years and how the brand always combines heritage with current must-haves. Leather is the fabric of choice throughout the whole Resort collection. However Fendi’s signature styles have a strong presence, too. Silvia Venturini Fendi not only brought back the iconic double FF, she also detailed skirts and dress with Karl Lagerfeld’s famous Karligraphy. Fendi doesn’t forget where it came from. The logo is consistently shown throughout the collection, playing with power dressing and femininity.

Fendi Pico Baguette

It seems as if the Baguette isn’t going to leave us any time soon. And if you thought the Baguette couldn’t get any smaller, you are totally wrong. As part of the Spring- Summer 2020 show, Fendi surprised us with its iconic Baguette bag in a mini version. It is classified as a bag yet can also be worn as a necklace. Each bag is elaborately made from microbeads, embellished with a pretty double-F buckle. The delicate chain shoulder strap can either be worn as a necklace or cross-body. The bag opens via a tiny front flap. Even though it’s supposed to be a bag, you can hardly fit anything inside. Consider it as a fun and cheerful accessory that immediately enhances your outfit.

I decided to go for the orange version of the Fendi Pico Baguette. I absolutely love orange for spring and like the way you can mix it with neutral colors such as brown and beige.

This total Fendi look was love at first sight. Snake print? Logo print? These stunning Fendi pieces feature both. I’m wearing a beautiful snake print FF logo jacket and a matching midi skirt. Both are made of super soft brown leather presenting the iconic double-F logo print, overlaid with a cool snake-effect pattern. The skirt is featuring a high rise, sexy high slits on the sides and white details along the seams. I went for white booties to add a calm touch to the rather loud and bold outfit.

The Fendi Pico Baguette makes the right statement and gets me super excited for spring.

Peekaboo Iconic Mini

The main actor in my second Fendi look, is this beautiful Peekaboo Iconic Mini in a soft pink. It has such a classic yet outstanding design and is made with woven strips of pink lamb leather and calfskin. The small zip pocket inside the bag and the two twist locks on both sides are not only super practical but also very stylish. The bag has a delicate single handle and a thin detachable cross-body strap.

I decided to go for a very feminine and sophisticated outfit. I am so in love with this beautiful Karligraphy shirt dress and the way Silvia Venturini Fendi combines heritage with new designs. It is made of soft high quality denim, detailed with Karl Lagerfeld’s FF Karligraphy pattern. The dress has a timeless shape, featuring long sleeves, contrasting stitching details and a midi length. I absolutely love the pointed collar and the way it adds sharpness to the feminine outfit.

My pink tights pick up the color of the Peekaboo and create a harmonious and color-coordinated look.
