Today´s post is about my stay in Milan in collaboration with the most important eyewear fair: MIDO! I had a great time being part of the fair, discovering new eyewear trends and must have in this growing sector.

Italy’s Mido Eyewear Show is the leading event for eyewear professionals! After a record edition last year, with over 1,200 exhibitors and 52,000 professional operators from all over the world, the Mido exhibition opened the door again to welcome companies, buyers, journalists and the sector’s leading trendsetters to meet, do business and be inspired by a magical, engaging atmosphere. Next to the major international brands, that present their new styles and innovations for prescription specs and sunglasses – the MIDO fair welcomes young start ups and designer, too! The LAB ACADEMY supports these new brands and giving them the chance to present their amazing collections on such a big fair with lots of important journalists and buyers.

My first day started with being part of the MIDO press conference and having a talk together with president Cirillo Marcolin and Beppe Severgnini, journalist, essayist and columnist and holding a presentation about the upcoming eyewear trends. You can imagine that I was more than nervous but loved being part of such an interesting event.

I am showing you now the outfit I wore for the exhibition: I decided to go with a total denim look by Citizens of Humanity and some velvet accessories. Maybe you remember this denim jacket by Citizens of Humanity, as I already have it in a different color. I really love this bleached color and the matching high waisted jeans by Citizens of Humanity, too. The only little pop of color is the pale-pink lace color of this beautiful Giambattista Valli top. Staying in the blue mood, I added my velvet blue Chanel handbag and Jimmy Choo heels. Of course I couldn´t post any look without eyewear! Therefore I am wearing my recent favorite sunglasses by Prada.
