Tweed is currently experiencing a major fashion moment. While I’m not sure, if the beautiful material has ever been out of style, I’ve been spotting tweed pieces more and more lately. Swap your autumnal tweed jacket for shorts and skirts, go for bright and fresh colors and you’re instantly ready for spring. Tweed is being restyled and reinvented this season.

Whenever I think of tweed, Chanel immediately comes into my mind. The material has always been associated with the French brand. However, tweed is currently experiencing a modern update and is seen everywhere from low budget to high end.
Tweed for spring
I recently found my beautiful tweed effect shorts at IRO. I love their casual style, the frayed details and open seams. They have a slightly oversized and very short fit. The matching belt can be knotted to create a nice paper bag waist. A shape that has been a runway favorite and is seen everywhere lately. Sometimes paper bag waists can be a little tricky to style. Whenever you wear paper bag pants, you should always make sure you’re not hiding the characteristic waist. Go for a fitted tee or a French tuck and choose cropped tops before oversized and long sweaters. This way, you are not adding more and more material to the ruffled up waist and are keeping proportions balanced. Properly styled, paper bag pants can create a flattering waist and endless long legs.
My look in details
I decided to go for a cropped, yet oversized fit and opted for this light pink Acne sweatshirt. The sweatshirt perfectly matches the colors of the shorts and creates an unusual yet harmonious silhouette. This spring look wouldn’t be a proper spring look without my beloved Miu Miu heels. I’ve been wearing them in several blogpost now and will for sure wear them all summer. They are so versatile and round off every kind of outfit.
Choosing a classic bag, is always a good idea. It instantly adds elegance and a timeless approach to the whole outfit. I love my Hermès Kelly bag. It is one of my favorite wardrobe staples.
