Suits, suits, suits. More and more designers are strongly showing their support for female power through design. The future is female and sometimes beauty definitely lies in simple looks.
Power suits for spring
Color is powerful. The modern power suit is feminine and so much fun. Black, grey and the typical check pattern, are being replaced by bright and eye-catching colors. Pink, red or yellow are some of the colors to choose from for your spring pantsuit. A fresh way to style the suit this season. It makes getting dressed in summer super easy. A nice suit is the perfect easy-to-style apparel. It gives you many options, both in terms of off-duty and business wear.
How to pull off a tailored two-piece? As always the answer is, less is definitely more. To keep the suit from looking too formal, pair it with a sporty, simple tee and opt for flats instead of heels. This way your suit looks far more casual and you don’t feel too buttoned up. Chunky white sneakers are also always a good choice when you want to dress down. They instantly add some street style vibes to your look. Go for heels or strappy sandals when you want to wear a suit at night. Choose a nice lace bra or cropped top instead of a basic T-shirt et voilà, you’re ready to go.
The Theory suit
I decided to go for a very casual look today and styled my new suit in a relaxed and effortless way. However, my new Theory two-piece is the perfect allrounder and can be worn for almost every occasion. It is made of pure linen and will for sure be my favorite companion this season. The jacket comes along in a bright fuchsia with a double-breasted front, a classic collar and a slightly elongated silhouette. I really like the contrasting picture of a classic style and fit and the modern bold color. An elegant yet contemporary look. The linen pants have a straight leg and a flattering high waist. The slightly loose fit is beyond comfortable.
My look in details
As I already mentioned above, simplicity is key when styling a suit. I therefore opted for a white sporty tee and my all-time favorite Chanel slides. It is such a fresh and casual way to style a suit this season and it instantly changes the whole picture we normally have in mind, when thinking of a suit.
