Green on green

// by

The winter months of January and February always seem particularly long to me and as of now, I’m really looking forward to warmer temperatures. Check out today’s outfit and my lesson in color coordination. Believe me, green can be one of the most beautiful colors in your closet.

We already got a glimpse of what trends we can look forward to come spring. However we’re currently still taking out our wooly jumpers, warm coats and boots. Cold temperatures, dreary weather, dark days. Instead of falling into a bad mood or winter depression, I fight the gray weather with fun outfits and start wearing the new color trends now. When looking at the collections for spring and summer you see that every shade of green you can think of is on trend. From mint, over emerald to olive – green is a super versatile color and can easily be dressed up and down.

The Louis Vuitton jacket

The main actor and standout piece of today’s look, is this beautiful Louis Vuitton wool jacket. It is part of their pre-fall 2019 collection and is one of my favorites. A very versatile and exciting collection, ranging from feminine florals and lace to edgier leather and plaids.

Autumnal check and an oversized fit: lumberjack shirts and jackets are an absolute must-have and are currently spotted everywhere. I love the way Louis Vuitton implements contemporary themes and trends in their designs, yet always stay true to their style. My new jacket is crafted from a wool blend and is simply perfect for cold temperatures. I absolutely love the graphic check motif – a key design of the season. It has an oversized fit, a cool leather collar and two big flap pockets on the chest. The delicate gold-tone snap buttons and the exaggerated puff sleeves add femininity and playfulness to the rather maskulin design. The shape of the jacket is strongly reminiscent of a classic denim jacket.

My look in details

Why choose one shade when you can wear all sorts of green? Perfectly coordinated colors are completely overrated and are a thing of the past. I decided to go for mismatched shades and wear green from head to toe. Different nuances and materials add a particularly interesting touch. I love to combine an oversized jacket with a fitted waist to create a pretty silhouette. I decided to go for these super cool Tibi vinyl tapered pants. They have a high waist with a very flattering pleating and a relaxed fit. The shine from the textured pants creates an interesting contrast to the cosy and structured jacket. I like how every single shade of green contrasts with each other and still creates a harmonious overall look. Black chunky boots and my favorite Louis Vuitton bag complete my look.

What do you guys think? Are you ready for an all-green outfit?
